An Icon Reimagined. PACTO × Les Leston.

For our company PACTO, based in Costa Rica, 2026 marks a very special milestone: our 15th anniversary of crafting vintage-style racing helmets. Over the years, our work has been dedicated to faithfully recreating the helmets that defined the great eras of motorsport—from the Grand Prix races of the 1940s, through the birth of Formula One in the 1950s, and into the late 1970s.

To celebrate these fifteen years of craftsmanship, we could think of no better way than to collaborate with one of the most iconic names in motorsport accessories—the London-based company Les Leston, which first opened its doors to the racing world in the mid-1950s.

A Legacy That Inspires.

The legacy of Les Leston has long been a profound inspiration for us. In our early years we were devoted solely to producing collectible motorsport memorabilia, and at that time we never imagined that one day we would be placing two historic labels on the same helmet.

This collaboration has been developed over several months together with Mr. Ollie Leston, grandson of the brand’s founder. From our very first exchange of ideas, a natural connection emerged that helped shape the spirit and authenticity of this project.

Through this partnership we are proud to present three of the most emblematic helmet models from the golden age of motorsport:

  • GP 1950 Racing Helmet
  • GP Temple Protection Helmet (late 1950s design)
  • GP Jet Helmet, the first jet-style Formula One helmet originally manufactured in the UK

Every helmet has been produced with absolute attention to historical detail—from period-correct buckles and leather types to cork interiors, stitching techniques, and finishing touches. Together these elements recreate an object that faithfully reflects the craftsmanship and character of British motorsport heritage—now handcrafted in Costa Rica.

Our helmets are available in a variety of colors and sizes ranging from 55 cm (6¾) to 63 cm (7¾).
